Exploring form, clay, and fiberglass
BIRD
Materials: Clay and Glass fiber
Born in Margarita Gordyn’s sculpture workshop, "Bird" represents my beginnings in sculpting. It was all about diving headfirst into the unknown—learning the ropes of materials, tools, and techniques. Inspired by Constantine Brancusi’s "Birds in Space" series, I was captivated by his abstract approach to portraying the essence of birds. This journey wasn't just about creating art; it was about shaping my perception and merging my imagination with reality.
MADEMOISELLE POGANY
Material: Clay and Glass fiber
Forged again in the crucible of Margarita Gordyn’s sculpture workshop, "Mademoiselle Pogany" marked my second venture into sculpting, once again drawing inspiration from the genius of Constantine Brancusi. This piece pushed me to delve deeper into technique, demanding meticulous attention to its intricate contours and shapes, where every intersection became a focal point. It was an immersive experience, a rigorous exercise in mastering materials and tools, and a profound exploration of how surfaces and volumes intertwine and influence each other.
